SUBJECT:    Revised Academic Personnel Manual Section 035 – Academic Affirmative Action and Nondiscrimination in Employment

The University has issued revisions to the following Academic Personnel Manual (APM) policy, effective February 25, 2014:

APM 035, Academic Affirmative Action and Nondiscrimination in Employment

The revision of APM 035 follows issuance of a revised University of California Policy on Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence by President Janet Napolitano on February 25, 2014.

The Presidential policy, which applies to all University faculty and other academic appointees, students, and staff, can be accessed online at http://policy.ucop.edu/doc/4000385

APM 035 Appendices A-1 and A-2 have been replaced with Appendix A, which directs faculty and other academic appointees to the Presidential policy.

The body of APM 035 covering Affirmative Action and Nondiscrimination in Employment remains in place.
