Notice of the 2015 UC San Diego Annual Security Report and 2015 UC San Diego Annual Fire Safety Report

In accordance with the guidelines established by the University of California, Office of the President, and pursuant to federal law, identified as the “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998,” the 2015 UC San Diego Annual Security Report and 2015 UC San Diego Annual Fire Safety Report are being made available to currently enrolled students, campus employees, prospective students and prospective employees.

The 2015 UC San Diego Annual Security Report provides statistics on specified crimes reported over the previous three years which occurred on campus, in off campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the university, or on public property adjacent to campus. The report also contains information pertaining to campus security, alcohol and drug policies, missing person reports, victims’ assistance programs, crime prevention and campus resources. Information on sexual assault prevention and response, including rights of victims of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, as well as policies and procedures for campus-wide notifications and emergency response and evacuation are included.

The 2015 UC San Diego Annual Fire Safety Report provides information and statistics concerning on-campus student housing facility fires, fire drills and fire safety education and training.

All members of the campus community are encouraged to immediately report crimes to the UC San Diego Police Department at (858) 534-4357. Emergencies or situations that may pose an immediate or ongoing threat to the health and safety of our students, employees and visitors should immediately be reported by dialing 9-1-1 from a campus phone or pay phone, by dialing (858) 534-4357 from a cell phone, or by using one of the call boxes located in the parking areas.
