October 27, 2015 Representative Assembly Meeting

Our first meeting of the 2015-16 academic year is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th at 3:30 p.m., in the Garren Auditorium of the Biomedical Sciences Building (first floor). The Notice of Meeting (agenda) and all pertinent documents may be found at the following two locations:

The Chancellor will address the Assembly at this meeting. Other speakers include Larry Smarr, Professor, CSE, and Director, CALIT2, who will discuss the Integrated Digital Infrastructure; Joel Dimsdale, Professor Emeritus, Psychiatry, and past University Committee on Faculty Welfare Chair, who will discuss the UC pension and healthcare benefits; and Jeffrey Haydu, Professor, Sociology, and Committee on Academic Freedom Chair, who will present the University Committee on Academic Freedom’s Statement on Academic Freedom and Civility.

If you are a Representative Assembly member and cannot attend next week’s meeting, please be sure to notify your alternate to do so in your stead. Your participation matters. I look forward to seeing you on October 27th.
