CONSTRUCTION ALERT – La Jolla Medical Center Parking Lot Addition

Project Description/Location:

In order to add staff parking availability on the La Jolla Medical Campus, a surface parking lot will be constructed adjacent to the Moores Cancer Center and Radiation Oncology buildings that will contain approximately 375 parking spaces. The parking lot will be located on the south side of Health Sciences Drive east of Moores Cancer Center and west of Voigt Drive. The project is anticipated to start November 1st with expected completion by February 1st, 2016.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bike Lane, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Impacts include intermittent pedestrian reroutes for road and sidewalk rework activities. Roadwork activities will cause brief, intermittent traffic delays on Health Sciences Drive. The bicycle lane is currently closed in this area and will remain closed until the completion of the East Campus Parking Structure II project.
