RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING April 6, 2015
Dear Colleagues, UC San Diego is evaluating its strategy for providing retail, dining, and entertainment services to students, staff, faculty and visitors. I write to enlist your support to review retail services provided on campus. Over the next year we will be developing input for our next Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) that aligns capital projects to sync with the University's strategic plan recently championed by Chancellor Khosla. The LRDP also helps develop projects and services that promote a positive, supportive environment for all activities planned for the University community. Expansion plans by neighboring shopping centers, the growth of on-line shopping and the imminent opening of two light rail stations on campus, necessitate careful planning of future retail, dining and entertainment services at UC San Diego. As part of this process, the university is collecting information from students, staff and faculty about their preferences for retail, dining, and entertainment services. Your participation in a brief survey would greatly benefit the planning and development of these services on campus.
To take the survey, click on the following link: Your responses to the survey will be kept confidential and only reported in aggregate. As an incentive for completing the survey, you may enter in a random drawing to win one of six $50 gift cards for the UC San Diego Bookstore. You will be notified by e-mail if you are one of the winners. Please complete your survey by Thursday, April 30, 2015. If you have questions about the survey, please contact Jozette O'Brien at extension 21864 or jpobrien@ucsd.edu. Thank you for your time.
