SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Argo Hall Site Improvements

Project Description/Location:

The construction of the Argo Hall Site Improvement project will start the week of June 22, 2015, with an anticipated completion of early September 2015. The building is located west of Revelle Plaza and south of Blake Hall. The site will encompass all exterior areas within, and immediately adjacent to Argo Hall. It will also include the north courtyard of the 64 Degrees restaurant which has already been fenced off.

Immediate Impacts:

Argo Hall will not be accessible during construction. A construction fence will enclose all sides of the building including the walkway between Argo and Blake, as well as a portion of Ridge Walk adjacent to Galbraith Hall. Also enclosed will be the southeasterly corner of parking lot P103 which will be used for construction mobilization. Blake Hall will be closed on the south side, but will remain accessible from both the east and west sides. Occasional disruptions may occur on the west side of Galbraith Hall to facilitate construction vehicles and material deliveries.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bicycle and Pedestrian Impact:

Pedestrians are requested to follow the signs and walk on existing sidewalks. Bicyclists are requested to follow signs and proceed cautiously around construction areas.
