Changes to Undergraduate Student Email

Starting in Fall Quarter 2015, Academic Computing & Media Services (ACMS) will provide Google Mail and Google Apps for Education for all entering undergraduates.

This change will not alter how you reach UC San Diego students. All undergraduate student email accounts, including those with Gmail accounts, will continue to be in a user@ucsd.edu format.

ACMS is working on a migration path for students enrolled prior to Fall Quarter 2015 and will inform them when they can opt in to Google Mail and receive access to Google Apps for Education tools. Google Apps for Education is available to faculty with an instructional need. Contact its@ucsd.edu for assistance.

Extending Google Apps for Education to faculty and staff is currently under review. Further information about the current state of Google Apps for Education access can be found at
