We invite the entire campus community to take part in UC San Diego's
10th Annual California Native American Day Celebration. Throughout the
academic year, UC San Diego will host a series of events to honor the
heritage, culture and traditions of Native Americans. The first event
will be the annual kick-off celebration at the International Center on
Friday, Sept. 25. This year's theme is "Unsettled Stories: Reclaiming
This Land." For a full calendar of events, visit In order to attend a California Native American Day celebration activity, two hours of administrative leave with pay have been approved. We ask that supervisors allow employees to attend, as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care. We would like to thank the members of the California Native American Day Celebration Planning Committee for their time and effort to coordinate these educational and celebratory campus events and activities.
