SUBJECT: | Flu Clinics at Student Health Services |
-Anyone can get the flu.
-Come and get a flu vaccine from Student Health Services to protect
yourself and others.
-The flu can lead to complications leading to time off school, doctor
visits and hospitalization.
The CDC recommends that EVERYONE 6 months of age and older get
vaccinated against influenza.
-Even healthy people need a flu vaccine.
-The flu vaccine can’t give you the flu.
-Don’t avoid getting a flu vaccine because you don’t like shots.
-You need to get a flu vaccine every year.
-If you have a long-term health condition such as asthma or diabetes,
or your immune system is compromised due to medication or illness, it is
especially important that you get a flu vaccine.
-If you work in healthcare, childcare or are around those over 65,
under 5 or those with long-term health conditions, the flu vaccine can
effectively protect you and those around you.
FLU VACCINE CLINICS are scheduled on a walk-in basis at the following
times:
At Student Health Services: Upstairs Murray’s Place Conference Room
October 7th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
October 12th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
October 18th: 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
October 21st: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
October 26th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
At The Zone (Located in Price Center near Jamba Juice)
November 4th: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
November 8th: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Injectable flu vaccine is FREE for students with SHIP insurance.
(Intranasal flu vaccine is not available this year.)
If you waived SHIP or have RAFT, Injectable vaccine costs $20. (Cost
will be billed to your university student account.)
