SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT – School of Medicine Street Traffic, Bike
Lane, and Pedestrian Access Impact

Project Description/Location:

Revelle Switch Station Upgrade, currently under construction in Revelle College, will provide critical electrical infrastructure to reliably service the existing and proposed electrical loads for the campus. The upgrade will require the installation of underground electrical conduits for the Revelle Switch Station. Prior to excavation, existing underground utilities will be marked out by independent utilities locator to the extent deemed possible. Safety of building occupants and others adjacent to areas of excavation is and will remain of utmost importance in the execution of this work.

The work will cover the road area at the east end of Osler Lane, next to the Telemedicine Building.

Work will begin on October 24, 2016 and be completed by November 18, 2016. The hours of work will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bike Lane, and Pedestrian Impacts:

The bicycle lanes and pedestrian sidewalks will be impacted by this closure. Areas providing a safe alternate route are indicated on the attached map. Traffic in and out of parking lot P603 shall also be impacted as one lane will be closed. Traffic will be controlled by flag persons. Please follow signage and allow extra time while traveling in the School of Medicine area.
