Excellence in Postdoctoral Scholar Mentoring and Postdoctoral Scholar Awards

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016-17 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Scholar Mentoring and Outstanding Postdoctoral Scholar. These recipients were chosen among an excellent cohort of nominations.

The Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Scholar Mentoring recognizes faculty mentors who serve as effective advisors, advocates, role models and colleagues to their postdoctoral trainees, and who promote high standards of professionalism and research integrity. This year's recipients are:

*Professor Seth Cohen, Ph.D. - Chemistry and Biochemistry
*Professor Anita Raj, Ph.D. - Medicine

The Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Postdoctoral Scholar recognizes the well-rounded postdoctoral scholar who not only excels in research and advances the frontiers of science, but also provides leadership, mentorship, and service. This year's recipients are:

*Laura Berner, Ph.D. - Psychiatry
*Samuel LaBarge, Ph.D. - Orthopedic Surgery

They will be honored on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Postdoc Appreciation Luncheon and Award Ceremony.
