Proposed New Presidential Policy for Establishing and Maintaining Presidential Policies

The University invites comments on proposed new Presidential Policy for Establishing and Maintaining Presidential Policies (“Policy on Policies”). This proposed policy was developed at the request of the UC Campus Policy Coordinators and several UCOP responsible offices and policy owners. The Campus Policy Coordinators, Office of General Counsel, and Office of Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services (ECAS) drafted the policy.

The proposed policy outlines the current process for development and review of both new and existing policies. The policy also includes procedures for both technical and formal review. The purpose of the proposed policy is to provide clear and consistent guidance to all constituents for the process the University utilizes for policy development and review.
