UC SAN DIEGO INSTITUTE FOR PUBLIC HEALTH - PUBLIC HEALTH RESEARCH DAY - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS/POSTERS

The UC San Diego Institute for Public Health will host the 3rd Annual Public Health Research Day Symposium and Poster Session to highlight research accomplishments and real world Public Health activities of the UC San Diego Public Health community.

Please save April 5, 2017, from 2-5 PM for this dynamic event.

This two part event will include a Symposium highlighting the work funded through the Institute for the Public Health Pilot Grants Program, and a Poster Session highlighting the cutting edge Public Health work being done by our undergraduate students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, research staff, and faculty.

We are now calling for poster abstract submissions. If you are interested in participating, please submit a structured abstract (limited to one abstract per first author) via our online submission system located at http://ucsdiphday2017.surveyanalytics.com If your abstract is accepted, you will be notified and asked to create a poster to display at the event. Authors (or their designated co-author representative) are asked to remain with their poster for part of the poster session, responding to questions from interested observers.

Posters should highlight recently completed research or community Public Health work. Please note the following changes from previous years: 1) we will only accept one submission for each first author, 2) posters describing Public Health in action will not be submitted separately; please submit under the general research submission link, and 3) the abstract texts should not exceed 2,200 characters, including spaces.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 16, 2017.

Organizing faculty will review abstracts and make selections for the poster session. Authors will be notified by March 2, 2017.
