May 2016 Academic Senate Election Results

The results of the May 2016 election are as follows.

Vice Chair (Chair Designate) for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2018. The first year will be served as Vice Chair and the second as Chair of the Division: *Farrell Ackerman (Professor, Linguistics)

Divisional Representatives to the systemwide Assembly of the Academic Senate for two-year terms, effective September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2018:

*Anna Joy Springer (Associate Professor, Literature)

Committee on Committees members, each for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2019:

*Health Sciences - Peter B. Ernst (Professor, Pathology)

*Engineering - Stefan Llewellyn Smith (Professor, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering)

*Science - Douglass Jane Forbes (Professor, Cell & Developmental Biology)

*Social Science - Nancy Postero (Associate Professor, Anthropology)

*At-Large - Daniel Widener (Associate Professor, History)

Fossil Fuel Divestment Resolution: Passed

The number of valid ballots cast in this election was 436, which represents a 20.2% turnout of the current Senate membership.
