Annual Summer Celebration Staff Picnic

On behalf of the UC San Diego Staff Association, I am pleased to invite you to this year’s annual All-Staff Picnic on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Town Square. The Cruise themed picnic will feature a live karaoke band, staff association booths, and an opportunity drawing.

Lunches will be provided to the first 3,000 staff members who order their free tickets online. This year, ticket distribution will be handled through EventBrite, an online ticketing system that will allow users to print their own tickets. In order to ensure that as many staff as possible may attend the picnic, employees will be limited to one ticket per person. Staff will be able to choose between two seatings (11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.) in hopes of shorten your wait time and freeing up seating. The entertainment and tabling will take place for the entire two hour event, so you won’t miss a thing.

I encourage all staff to join us for this appreciation event. In order to attend the picnic, I am approving two hours of administrative leave with pay, and I ask supervisors to allow employees to attend, as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.
