OFFICE OF VICE CHANCELLOR - STUDENT AFFAIRS

AUGUST 12, 2016

ALL STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    AVC Student Life – Student Sessions

Student Affairs is currently engaged in the search for the next Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Student Life. The previous AVC, Dr. Gary Ratcliff served in the position since 2005 and retired in June of this year. Members of the campus community, including students, participated in a national search for a qualified leader to direct this critical student-centered unit. The search committee has now identified four finalists and has invited them to campus to meet with additional members of the campus community.

As a UC San Diego student, I invite you to participate in a student session with each finalist. In the session you will hear directly from the candidates and have an opportunity to ask questions, facilitated by Interim AVC-Student Life, Sharon Van Bruggen. Below you will find the session schedule and a brief description of the position. I hope you will find the time to attend and provide your feedback.
