ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO
This year’s campus remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks will occur at noon on Friday, September 9, at the commemorative tree on Warren Mall at the foot of the Snake Path. You are invited to join members of the UC San Diego Police Department and the Veterans Staff Association for the ceremony. At noon, the carillon at Geisel Library will ring to initiate the moment of silence, followed by a special carillon music peal composed for the occasion and the laying of a wreath at the base of the tree. Special memorial flags, recognizing the lives lost on 9/11, will be posted at the commemorative tree from sunrise to sunset. Members of the campus community may pay their respects throughout the day. If you need additional information or require any accommodations to participate, please contact Joanna Boval at jboval@ucsd.edu in advance of the event.
