OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR – September 19, 2016
ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO
We invite the entire campus community to take part in UC San Diego's 11th Annual California Native American Day Celebration. This year's theme is "Native Journeys: Forging Paths to an Empowered Future." Throughout the academic year, UC San Diego will host an extended series of events to honor the heritage, culture and traditions of Native Americans. The first event will be the annual kick-off celebration at The Great Hall, Eleanor Roosevelt College International House, on Friday, Sept. 23. For a full calendar of events, visit http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/ nativeamerican If you would like to attend a California Native American Day celebration activity, two hours of administrative leave with pay have been approved. We ask that supervisors allow employees to attend, as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.
We would like to thank the members of the California Native American Day Celebration Planning Committee for their time and effort to coordinate these educational and celebratory campus events and activities.
