CAMPUS NOTICE

VICE CHANCELLOR FOR RESEARCH

September 21, 2016

ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    Conclusion of Rollout/Document Retirement - Electronic Proposal Development

In January 2015, as part of the Chancellor's Strategic plan, the Electronic Research Administration Program (eRAP) initiated the phased rollout of the Electronic Proposal Development (ePD) system to over 130 departments and 16 central offices across General Campus, Health Sciences and Marine Sciences. The eRAP team is pleased to announce that the ePD Rollout has reached its conclusion. The ePD System is now fully operational and will be overseen by the eRAP Operations Committee. Because ePD is the primary system used for processing proposals, UC San Diego will be discontinuing use of the following effective 10/01/2016:
* Request for Extramural Support (RES) Form
* Proposal Log (a.k.a. Get Proposal #)
* Electronic Proposal Repository Service (EPRS)
* Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA)

I would like to thank all the departments and central offices for their participation and tremendous effort in successfully adopting ePD as a campus-wide system, thus, streamlining business processes and keeping us moving forward in alignment with the Strategic Plan.
