THIS IS A REMINDER OF THE TOWN HALLS TOMORROW, SEE DETAILS BELOW The Office of Research Affairs invites all faculty across campus to attend one of three informational Research Town Hall Meetings with University leadership to be held Thursday, October 12, 2017. The meetings are scheduled across campus (details noted below). All UC San Diego academics are welcome to attend the meeting that is most convenient to hear updates on the federal research budget, new regulations in federal agencies that impact researchers, and new opportunities from state and federal agencies for research funding and training grants. Additionally, there will be a Q&A session at each Town Hall for faculty to ask questions, raise issues and concerns, and provide feedback about their respective research priorities.
Thursday, October 12, 2017: These Town Hall Meetings are designed to provide UC San Diego faculty with current information on the federal government’s FY 2018 budget, priorities, and opportunities. UC San Diego’s Executive Director for Government Research Relations Angela Phillips Diaz will be on campus from her office in Washington DC to address these and other topics of interest. I hope that each of you will be able to attend one of these Town Halls.
