Native American Heritage Month Celebration at UC San Diego

It gives us great pleasure to announce the Native American Heritage Month Celebration at UC San Diego, formerly California Native American Day Celebration. The campus will host an extended series of events beginning in the month of November to honor the heritage, culture and traditions of Native Americans.

In order to attend a Native American Heritage Month activity, two hours of administrative leave with pay have been approved, and we ask supervisors to allow employees to attend, as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.

We would like to thank the members of the Native American Heritage Month Celebration Planning Committee for their time and effort to coordinate these educational and celebratory events and activities.
