CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Temporary Closure of Miramar Street (Entry to Mesa Housing Community from Regents Road)

Project Location/Description:

The City of San Diego is currently working on a project to widen Regents Road between Genesee Avenue and Executive Drive to a four-lane street from the existing two lanes and incorporate new bike lanes. Regents Road provides access to UC San Diego’s East Campus including the Medical Center, parking facilities, graduate housing facilities, and the UC San Diego Science Research Park. The upcoming Regents Road project scope includes construction of new concrete cross gutter and sidewalk at Miramar Street, for which there will be a short-term closure.

Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Resident, service, and emergency vehicle access will remain available at all times.

Miramar St. North (Across from Executive Drive) will be closed at Regents Road from 6:30 AM Friday November 10 through 6:00 AM Tuesday November 14. All traffic in and out of the Mesa Housing Community will be detoured to Miramar St. South (Across from Regents Park Row).
