RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON SUSTAINABILITY February 14, 2017
The UC San Diego Advisory Committee on Sustainability is accepting nominations for the annual Sustainability Awards. The nomination period closes Monday, March 6, 2017 by 11:59 p.m. The awards are part of UC San Diego’s celebration of UC San Diego’s Earth Month, April 2017 and will recognize individuals and groups (teams, departments, units, student organizations, etc.) that have made our campus more sustainable. Nominees must be closely affiliated with UC San Diego and have worked outside the capacity of their job descriptions to advance one or more of the Advisory Committee on Sustainability's goals to: · Make sustainability part of UC San Diego's ongoing education, research, planning, operation and/or outreach programs. · Share information about UC San Diego's education, research, planning, operational and/or outreach activities related to environmental stewardship and sustainability with the campus community and the public. Sustainability is defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Nominators may submit more than one nomination. All nominations must be
received by 11:59 p.m. on March 6, 2017. The award categories are listed
