CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Revelle College, Street Traffic, Bike Lane, and Pedestrian Access Impact

Project Description/Location:

Revelle Switch Station Upgrade, currently under construction in Revelle College, will provide critical electrical infrastructure to reliably service the existing and proposed electrical loads for the campus. The upgrade will require a new reclaimed water pipeline for irrigation and a new driveway to the Revelle Switch Station. Safety of building occupants and others adjacent to areas of work is and will remain of utmost importance in the execution of this work.

The work will occur on Scholars Drive, in front of the Central Utilities Plant between Gilman Drive and York Lane.

Work will begin on February 21, 2017 and be completed by February 24, 2017. The hours of work will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will intermittently impact street traffic, bike lane, and pedestrian path on Scholars Drive.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bike Lane, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Traffic delays on Scholars Drive will occur due to the intermittent closure of the east bound lane. Traffic will be controlled by flag persons when the lane is closed. The bicycle lanes and pedestrian sidewalks will also be impacted by this intermittent closure. Please follow signage and allow extra time while traveling on Scholars Drive.
