Call for Nominations for Revelle Medal

As part of UC San Diego’s annual recognition of our founding, we will award the Revelle Medal in conjunction with our November 16 – 18, 2017 celebration of Founders Day. The Revelle Medal is presented at the Founders Faculty Lunch. I encourage your nomination of visionary faculty whose impact on UC San Diego has resulted in the institution’s rise to international prominence.

The Revelle Medal recognizes a visionary faculty leader for sustained and distinguished service to the campus. The medal honors a record of accomplishment that advances UC San Diego. The Revelle Medal website at htt p://chancellor.ucsd.edu/about-the-office/the-revelle-medal provides additional information about the medal.

Nominators for the Revelle Medal must have an association with UC San Diego. Further guidelines and the nomination forms are found on the medal website. The deadline for nominations is close of business on Monday, May 15, 2017. Nominations received after May 15 will be considered the following year.
