Water Main Break at 7835 Trade Street

Over the weekend a water main broke under the Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions Logistics warehouse located at 7835 Trade Street. This has impacted units including Receiving and Distribution, Surplus Sales, Moving Services, Outbound Shipping, and Self-Storage. We are actively working with campus and city partners to assess the situation and damage in order to restore our operations to full capacity as quickly as possible.

Logistics staff and remediation crews worked through the night to ensure that we could resume critical operations early this morning. During this time, units will operate as follows:

- Receiving and Distribution will continue to process and deliver packages to campus. Over the next couple of days deliveries may be made later in the day.

- Outbound Shipping, Moving Services, and Surplus Sales will continue to operate at full capacity. Operations may need to be adjusted, however, as we continue to assess the situation and operational delays may arise. Updates will be posted on Blink.

- We will contact departments with affected Self-Storage cages over the next couple of days. If any Self-Storage clients have an urgent need to visit their cage, please contact Tu McClurg (tmcclurg@ucsd.edu) so that we can coordinate access during our water remediation activities.
