| SUBJECT: | Animal Care Program (ACP) Per Diem Rate Changes - 2017 |
While UC San Diego Animal care per diem rates have been steady since 2014, the current rates no longer cover the cost for care of research animals. The Office of Research Affairs, Health Sciences, Academic Affairs, the Animal Care Program, along with the faculty-led Animal Program Oversight Committee have been developing an updated per diem rate schedule over the past academic year. These new rates can be found http://go.ucsd.edu/2sUJohc
Effective September 1, 2017 all submitted animal research proposals must use the new per diem schedule. The new ACP per diem rates for currently funded projects will also be in effect starting September 1, 2017.
