CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Parking Lot P783 Closure and Removal

Project Description/Location:

Demolition and permanent removal of existing parking lot P783 will commence on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in order to perform soil remediation efforts for future potential construction.

Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Staff parking lot P783 on the UC San Diego Health – La Jolla campus will be permanently closed on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. The perimeter of the parking lot will be enclosed by chain-link fence with screen. A-frame signage has already been posted in the lot providing additional advanced notice of the closure. The existing concrete and asphalt pedestrian sidewalk connecting the Mesa Housing Community to the Medical Center will remain open during the parking lot demolition.

Holders of B parking permits are reminded that additional B parking spaces are available in other lesser-used parking lots on campus, including P782, P703, P704 and the remaining portion of P705. Staff parking spaces are also available in P784, P785, P759, and Campus Point and Athena parking structures.
