SUBJECT: | Flu/Tdap Vaccine Clinics at Student Health Services |
FLU/TDAP VACCINE CLINICS are scheduled on a walk-in basis at the
following times:
At Student Health Services: Upstairs Murray’s Place Conference Room
Friday, October 6th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 11th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, October 17th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Friday, October 20th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 25th: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
At The Zone (Located in Price Center near Jamba Juice)
Friday, November 3rd: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, November 7th: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Additional dates may be added to The Zone if the demand remains high.)
The Injectable Flu vaccine & Tdap is FREE for students with SHIP
insurance. (The Intranasal Flu vaccine is not available again this
year.)
If you waived SHIP or have RAFT, an Injectable Flu vaccine costs $25 and
Tdap costs $40.
(The cost will be billed to your university student account.)
-Anyone can get the flu; even healthy people benefit from a flu vaccine.
-The CDC recommends that EVERYONE 6 months of age and older get
vaccinated against influenza.
-This year we are offering Tdap to those incoming students who know they
are due this shot for Immunization Requirements.
-Come and get a flu vaccine from Student Health Services to protect
yourself and others.
-The flu can lead to complications resulting in time off from school,
doctor visits and hospitalization.
-The flu vaccine can’t give you the flu.
-If you have a long-term health condition such as asthma or diabetes, or
your immune system is compromised due to medication or illness, it is
especially important that you get a flu vaccine.
