Native American Heritage Month Celebration at UC San Diego

We invite the entire campus community to take part in the Native
American Heritage Month Celebration at UC San Diego. Throughout the
academic year, UC San Diego will host an extended series of events to
honor the heritage, diverse cultures, traditions, histories and the
important contributions of Native people.

In recognition of this month-long celebration, two hours of
administrative leave with pay have been approved so that employees may
participate in the Native American Heritage Celebration activities.
Supervisors are asked to allow employees to attend, as long as the
absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or
patient care.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the members of the Native
American Heritage Month Celebration Planning Committee for their time
and effort to coordinate these educational and celebratory events and
activities.
