ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    Myers Drive & Rupertus Lane Closures: November 16th

The 8th annual Hullabaloo Festival hosted by Associated Students
Concerts and Events will be held from 8:00 PM to midnight on Friday,
November 16th. Due to the construction of event infrastructure, event
security, and pedestrian safety concerns, Myers Drive and Rupertus Lane
will be closed from 10:00 AM on Friday, November 16th, through 6:00 AM
on Saturday, November 17th. During that time, Myers Drive and Rupertus
Lane will be closed to all inbound vehicular traffic. Vehicles parked
on Myers after the start of the closure will have the opportunity to
exit the event footprint via Old Rupertus Lane.

Additionally, the MTS Shuttle services will temporarily move from
Rupertus Lane to the Gilman Transit Center the morning of November 16th.
Shuttle service for those routes will resume their normal service
starting Monday, November 20th.

During the hours immediately preceding and following the event, there
will be additional restrictions on vehicle access around Town Square and
Matthews Quad. No vehicles, cars, or carts will be permitted on Lyman
Lane or Rupertus Lane from 7:00 PM on November 16th until 1:00 AM on
November 17th.

We urge all festival attendees to use an alternative transportation
option to get to and from the event on Friday, November 16th. The San
Diego Metropolitan Transit System will provide standard bus service to
the campus that day. To learn more about transportation options
available, please visit: http://transportation.ucsd.edu/

If you have questions, please contact Anthony Tran, Director of the
