REMINDER-- Town Hall on Seventh College Academic Planning

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

I am writing to invite you to a town hall meeting to discuss the academic plan for Seventh College. As you may know, we are in the process of launching two new undergraduate colleges over the next few years. A workgroup has been meeting over the summer to discuss possible general education frameworks for these colleges. We would like to solicit your input regarding potential themes and details of the Seventh College GE requirements.

A workgroup report and timeline are available as background material for our discussion (you can access the report with your UCSD account here: https://goo.gl/nRU9GT). We look forward to receiving input from interested faculty across all disciplines as we move forward with this important initiative for the campus. We will also discuss the approval process and procedures for finalizing the college’s academic plan. Members of the Seventh College Workgroup, Council of Provosts, and other administrators, will join the discussion.

The town hall will be held at the ERC Great Hall on Tuesday, November 20th, from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
