SUBJECT:    Revisions to the UC San Diego Student Conduct Code and Student Conduct Standards

The Office of Student Conduct is proposing a set of revisions to the UC San Diego Student Conduct Code and Student Conduct Standards to go into effect for Fall 2018. Some of the key proposed changes include:

* Incorporating the Student Conduct Code into the UC San Diego Policy and Procedures Manual.

* Revising standards of conduct to remain consistent with Section 102.00 of the University of California Policies Applying to Campus Organizations, Activities, and Students.

* Clarifying the process for case intake, including determining reasonable cause and addressing related Student Conduct Code violations in Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment incidents.

* Rescinding additional Student Conduct Standards to create greater alignment with UC system-wide and UC San Diego campus policies.

The proposed changes have been reviewed and discussed by the Student Conduct Standards Group. After incorporating feedback from the group, the proposed changes are now available for review and comment by the greater campus community.
