ALL STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO
SUBJECT: | Two-step Login Required October 16 |
As a reminder, on October 16, two-step login becomes required for UC San
Diego undergraduate, graduate and professional students, as well as
medical and pharmacy students.
Two-step login will be required to gain access to nearly all of your
online UC San Diego functions, including accessing Gmail, registering
for classes, paying bills, performing a degree audit, and connecting via
VPN.
Registering a device takes just a few minutes. Go directly to the
sign-up page if you’re ready to do so:
https://duo-registration.ucsd.edu.
Visit: http://twostep.ucsd.edu if you need more information.
Contact the Service Desk if you need help or if you don’t have a
compatible phone or device:
Email: servicedesk@ucsd.edu
Phone: 858-246-4357
Web: http://servicedesk.ucsd.edu
Walk-up: AP&M building, first floor
As a UC San Diego student, the benefits of two-step login include:
Increased overall privacy and account security
Reduced burden of overly-complicated passwords
Lower risk of losing access due to a compromised account
All faculty and staff are currently using two-step login, as are
students at most of the other UC campuses.
