| SUBJECT: | Campus Announces Ecotime for Consolidated Payroll Timekeeping |
We are pleased to announce that Huntington Business Systems (HBS) Ecotime has been selected as the new consolidated timekeeping system for UC San Diego. Ecotime will replace MyTime, Temporary Employment Services Online Pay System (TOPS) and paper time sheets for payroll time reporting.
The Kronos and UC San Diego Police Department Telestaff time reporting systems will not be part of the transition.
The selection of Ecotime aligns the campus and Medical Center with timekeeping application, providing synergies across both organizations.
Ecotime is a modern, flexible, user-friendly tool that will automate complicated pay calculations, provide greater agility in implementing wage and hour changes and strengthen our compliance.
The transition to Ecotime will also ease our integration with UCPath to ensure accurate and timely pay and leave reporting. For the School of Medicine and Skaggs School of Pharmacy, this transition is currently underway and is being led by Health HR. The transition for the rest of UCSD will be led by the Enterprise Systems Renewal (ESR) Ecotime project team and is scheduled to go live in early 2020, in advance of the UCPath deployment.
