New UC Learning Center Course on Gender Recognition Act

We are pleased to announce a new e-learning course available through UC
Learning Center: “Gender Recognition: A Focus on Transgender, Nonbinary,
and Intersex Awareness.” We encourage all employees to complete the
course. It takes about 35 minutes and is available at:

The UC Regents have requested policy action for inclusion and belonging,
and UC President Napolitano has accelerated our systemwide work on the
Gender Recognition Act. This new course is part of UC San Diego’s
efforts to make the strategic and systemic changes to ensure inclusion
of transgender, nonbinary, and intersex people. Intended to help build
awareness, this course will introduce participants to terms and concepts
related to gender and nonbinary identities, as well as best practices
for name, pronoun, and title usage.
