Project Description/Location:
Beginning June 17, 2019 through August 2020, Muir College Drive will be closed in both directions from North Torrey Pines Road to Scholars Drive North for the ongoing construction of the North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood. The closure will allow improvements to be made to underground utilities, the roadway, and sidewalks and will help maintain vehicular and pedestrian safety around the jobsite.

NTPLLN is a multi-use project that includes six new buildings, complete with student housing, academic spaces, classrooms, lecture halls, retail, dining, and underground parking and is located adjacent to N. Torrey Pines Rd. between Muir College Dr. and Muir Lane. NTPLLN will include open space with a bike and pedestrian friendly layout that will welcome students, staff, faculty and visitors to live, learn and work in a community environment.

Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Vehicular and bicycle traffic entering and exiting campus from N. Torrey Pines Rd. will be detoured to Pangea Dr. Wayfinding signage will identify detour for Pedestrians from N. Torrey Pines Rd. through UC Extension.

The West Campus Connector shuttle stop #808 (Marshall College East) will be relocated from Scholars Drive North at P302, to North Torrey Pines Road near the MTS Bus Stop #101 adjacent to UC Extension.
