| SUBJECT: | UC OATS Introduction to UC San Diego |
In partnership with the campus Enterprise System Renewal (ESR), we are
pleased to announce the upcoming launch of University of California
Outside Activity Tracking System (UC OATS). UC OATS is a multi-campus
collaboration used across the UC system as a new and efficient way for
faculty, deans, and faculty administrators to track, manage, and
annually certify outside professional activities. Replacing the current
paper process, UC OATS is an interactive web-based system that
facilitates the reporting of outside professional activities and
determines appropriate review and approval requirements. This allows
users to easily comply with the University of California, Conflict of
Commitment policies: General Campus and Scripps Institution of
Oceanography faculty (APM 025), Health Sciences Compensation Plan
participants (APM 671), Deans (APM 240), and Faculty Administrators (APM
246).

UC OATS is scheduled to go live at UC San Diego September 3, 2019. More
information and training resources will be made available in the
upcoming weeks.

professional activities . Track earnings (Heath Science Compensation
plan participants) . Complete annual certification . Help guide your
understanding and responsibilities through real-time feedback . Comply
with UCOP Conflict of Commitment policies

. Review/approve conflict of commitment forms . Review/approve annual
certification reports . Comply with UCOP Conflict of Commitment policies
