We are pleased to announce the availability of Google G Suite productivity and collaboration apps for faculty and staff at UC San Diego. Starting September 12, you may access the G Suite at https://gsuite.ucsd.edu using your single sign-on credentials. In the near future, Health Sciences faculty and staff as well as medical and pharmacy students will receive a version of G Suite that will ultimately support the storage of protected health information (PHI). These tools are designed to empower collaboration and facilitate easy file storage and sharing. The following Google applications are included:
· Drive for file storage For units and individuals already provisioned with G Suite access, note that the login experience will change slightly. You’ll enter your username like normal, but then be automatically guided to UC San Diego’s single sign-on process, including our two-step login protocol. Google’s built-in 2-Step Verification will be disabled for those currently using it for campus accounts.
