Survey on the Disability Experience at UC San Diego
Last year, I convened a committee on the “Disability Experience at UC San Diego,” which recommended an external review of the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) and Disability Counseling and Consulting (DCC). Part of this external review includes a campuswide survey. Since October is Disability Awareness Month, I welcome this opportunity to gather input, which will help us better support our students with disabilities.
As you may know, the OSD, which reports to me as Dean of Undergraduate Education, is responsible for working with undergraduate and graduate students and determining reasonable accommodations in academic and non-academic areas. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the “Disability Experience at UC San Diego,” which can be provided by completing this brief survey.
Even if you have not directly worked with a person with a disability, please reflect on what you have observed or experienced on campus as it relates to our students with disabilities. Please complete the survey no later than Friday, October 30.
