ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO
Reaffirming Our Commitment to Academic Integrity
Integrity is a core principle of our UC San Diego community - it is essential to our excellence.
As we begin a new academic year, it is a good time for us to reaffirm our commitment to upholding and protecting academic integrity. Whether we are teaching or learning in-person, remotely or in a hybrid format, the integrity of our courses, our grades and our degrees is paramount.
We ask all of our faculty and instructors to talk about academic integrity in their classes and to make clear their expectations for how students can complete their assignments, tests, projects, and exams with integrity. Please review the academic integrity tips for faculty.
We ask all UC San Diego students to attend to these expectations as well as to act in ways at all times to ensure that the academic learning experience for themselves and each other will be honest, respectful, fair, responsible and trustworthy. Students should review the academic integrity tips for students.
To reaffirm this commitment, all undergraduate students are asked to complete the Integrity Tutorial. This Tutorial is required for first quarter students, but with newly updated scenarios, it is strongly recommended for all students. Students can also Take the Pledge to excel with integrity.
