The university is pleased to welcome a new Target store on campus. Centrally located on the second floor of Price Center West, the small format store of approximately 19,000 square feet is tailored to the needs and preferences of our community. With the closest Target store to campus more than eight miles away, the opening of this store saves car trips and brings desired services to the campus.
This store offers:
- Groceries, fresh produce and a CVS Pharmacy.
- An assortment of health, personal care and beauty products.
- Easy ordering of supplies for campus departments with the campus Procurement Card.
- Order Pickup, a free service that allows guests to order items online and pick up in store within a few hours, including fresh groceries.
- Convenient hours: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sunday.
The opening of this store today marks another step in implementing the overall campus retail vision developed by a committee of undergraduate and graduate students and other campus stakeholders through a one-year process including focus groups and extensive market research. The goal was to provide students, faculty and staff with access to an array of dining, entertainment, products and services at affordable prices comparable in quality and diversity to those found in many San Diego neighborhoods.
Students, faculty and staff surveyed about their retail preferences for our campus selected a Target store as their top choice. Target Corporation possesses a culture, ethic and sense of social responsibility that aligns with the university, an important consideration in the selection.
We hope that the addition of the store to the 40 retail operators already on campus adds value, options and convenience to your campus experience.
