UC San Diego Brings New Insurance Benefit to Faculty, Staff, Students and Alumni
UC San Diego faculty, staff, students and alumni are now able to participate in a multicampus program that provides personal auto, homeowners and renters insurance products from MetLife Auto & Home®.
This offering is made possible by UC Partnership Programs, which creates dynamic partnerships between business providers and University of California campuses in order to offer favorable terms for our faculty, staff, students and alumni.
MetLife Auto & Home was selected for the UC Partnership Programs after a robust and collaborative review process by the San Diego Insurance Working Group, which included undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, Intercollegiate Athletics, the Alumni Association and Human Resources. The Insurance Working Groups reviewed and scored potential partners based on a variety of areas: quality and breadth of insurance products and services, benefits to stakeholders, alignment in brand and corporate social responsibility, and benefits to campuses including student engagement, research and innovation.
