Revisions to the UC San Diego-Based Voluntary Student Contributions and Compulsory Student Fees Policy
The Office of the Vice Chancellor - Student Affairs is proposing a set of revisions to the UC San Diego-Based Voluntary Student Contributions and Compulsory Student Fees Policy. Some of the key proposed changes include:
* Moving the Policy into the campus Policy and Procedure Manual and renaming it the Compulsory Campus-Based Fees and Voluntary Student Contributions Policy.
* Alleviating inconsistencies between the Policy, UC system-wide policies, and Authorized Student Government bylaws.
* Standardizing definitions, timelines, and procedures for campus-based fees and student contributions referenda.
The proposed changes have been developed by the Fee Referenda Work Group, with input received from members’ constituencies. The proposed changes are now available for review and comment by the greater campus community.
