SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Hopkins Parking Structure Area Sunday, January 19 through Sunday, March 15

Due to unforeseen conditions, Facilities Management will be extending the emergency work to repair a broken heating hot water line on Hopkins Dr. east of the Hopkins Parking Structure.

Work is in progress and expected to last through Sunday, March 15 2020. Impacts include:

-The sidewalk will be closed along Hopkins Dr. between Voigt Dr. and north of the Hopkins Parking Structure entrance. See a map: https://go.ucsd.edu/2ssBKih

-The right turn lane from Hopkins Dr. south to Voigt Dr. west will be shortened.

-Pedestrian traffic will be diverted around the construction area.

-Bicycles and scooters traveling southbound on Hopkins Dr. should use the full lane next to the construction area.

- Closure of the Hopkins Dr. entrance/exit into the Hopkins Parking Structure between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. During the closure, all vehicular traffic to the Hopkins Parking Structure will move to the Voigt Dr. entrance/exit. See a map: https://go.ucsd.edu/2QXEKg2

Directional signs will be placed onsite for pedestrians, micromobility users, and vehicular traffic.
