CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Central Utilities Plant Expansion, Chiller Plant Addition: York Lane Traffic Impact

Project Location/Description:

The Central Utilities Plant Expansion, Chiller Plant Addition project will construct a new chiller plant north of Scholars Drive South and West of York Lane. The plant will include 2 chillers, 2 cooling towers, associated pumps, piping, and all required electrical distribution system. This plant will provide additional cooling capacity to the campus to accommodate campus growth.

The potholing work to locate existing underground utilities will occur on York Lane, between York Hall and Scholars Drive South and between York Lane and Galbraith Hall loading dock.

Work will be conducted on Saturday March 07, 2020 and on Saturday March 21, 2020. The hours of work will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Traffic delays on York Lane may occur due to intermittent one lane closure on York Lane on Saturday March 07, 2020 and on March 21, 2020. Traffic will be controlled by flag persons when the lane is closed. No bicycle lanes, pedestrian sidewalks, or parking lots will be impacted by this intermittent closure. Please follow signage and allow extra time while traveling on York Lane.
