CONSTRUCTION ALERT – I-5 Switch Station: Greenhouse Lane Temporary Road Closures

Project Location/Description:
The new I-5 Switch Station, located in existing parking lot P510, will
provide approximately 3,500 new gross square feet to house medium
voltage equipment and control. The facility will provide power to the
existing Revelle Switch Station and North Campus Switch Station, and
will improve power reliability to the West Campus.

The project will install a new underground storm drain line, sewer line,
and water line from the new building and tie to existing storm drain,
sewer, and water underground systems respectively. The underground work
will occur at the South end of Greenhouse Lane, by Greenhouse Lane and
Voigt intersection.

Work will begin on May 19, 2020 and will be completed by June 09, 2020.
The daily hours of work will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Immediate Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:
Traffic delays on Greenhouse Lane will occur due to one lane closure on
Greenhouse Lane between May 19, 2020 to June 09, 2020. Traffic will be
controlled by flag persons when the lane is closed. Pedestrian sidewalks
on Greenhouse Lane will also be impacted by this closure. Please follow
signage and allow extra time while traveling on Greenhouse Lane.
