Spring 2020 Academic Senate Election Results

Dear Colleagues:

The results of the spring 2020 election are as follows.

Vice Chair (Chair Designate) of the Division for a two-year term,
effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2022. The first year
will serve as Vice Chair and the second year as Chair of the San Diego
Division.

*Tara Javidi (Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering)

Divisional Representatives (two vacancies) to the systemwide Assembly of
the Academic Senate for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2020
through August 31, 2022.

*Mariana Cherner (Professor IR, Psychiatry)
*Juan C. Lasheras (Professor, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering &
Bioengineering)

Member of the Committee on Committees from a Health Sciences department,
excluding the Department of Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry
for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2020 through August 31,
2023.

*Rebekah (Becke) White (Associate Professor, Surgery)

Member of the Committee on Committees from SIO for a three-year term,
effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2023.

*Eric Allen (Professor, SIO)

Member of the Committee on Committees from a Social Science department
for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2020 through August 31,
2023.

*Gail Heyman (Professor, Psychology)

At-large member of the Committee on Committees for a two-year term,
effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2022.

*Guillermo Algaze (Professor, Anthropology)

The number of valid ballots cast in this election was 491, which
represents a 19.7% turnout of the current Senate membership.
