OFFICE OF THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER- June 1, 2020
UC San Diego has successfully transitioned to UCPath - our new Human Resources and Payroll System. This was a complex and challenging project made more so by the requirement to complete the transition while working and communicating remotely. I want to take a moment to commend the UCPath Project Team and the Campus and Health Central Personnel and Payroll Offices for their dedication, flexibility and creativity. All employees can now access UCPath from a login button on the UCPath website: https://ucpath.ucsd.edu/go-live/index.html. Please follow the instructions for first-time access to set up your account and view the enhanced self-service interface that replaces AYSO. You will find your new Employee ID in the top left corner. We encourage you, if you haven’t already, to sign up for direct deposit and/or the new UC Pay Card, as paper paychecks will now be mailed from Arizona the day before payday and mail takes longer and is a less secure way to receive earnings. UC San Diego is committed to providing support to our campus community during this transition. We have established a Rapid Response Center (RRC) team comprised of UCPath experts from UC San Diego central offices and the Office of the President. The RRC Team will respond to all employee issues arising from pay discrepancies or missing pay, answer questions, provide training and technical support, and move issues requiring escalation to the Quality Care Unit at the UCPath Center. This team is available via case, chat or phone with contact details on the “Need Help” page on the UCPath website: https://ucpath.ucsd.edu/need-help/index.html. Do not hesitate to reach out for assistance. We are living in unprecedented times, and we are working in ways that we could not have anticipated just a few months ago. Once again, we appreciate your adaptability as we transition our campus into the future state. Thank you for all you do in support of UC San Diego.
