CONSTRUCTION ALERT – I-5 Switch Station: Parking Lot P510 Entrance Construction Impact

Project Location/Description:

The new I-5 Switch Station, located in existing parking lot P510, will provide approximately 3,500 new gross square feet to house medium voltage equipment and control. The facility will provide power to the existing Revelle Switch Station and North Campus Switch Station, and will improve power reliability to the West Campus.

The project will install new underground stormdrain line, sewer line, and water line from the new building and tie to existing stormdrain, sewer, and water underground systems respectively. The underground work will occur at the entrance of Parking Lot P510.

Work will begin on July 07, 2020 and will be completed by July 21, 2020. The hours of work will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Immediate Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Traffic into parking lot P510 may be delayed due to one lane closure at the entrance of the parking lot between July 07, 2020 and July 21, 2020. Traffic will be controlled by flag persons when the lane is closed. Pedestrian sidewalks on Green House Lane will also be impacted by this closure. Please follow signage and allow extra time while entering Parking Lot P510.
